The Hotel Front Desk Agent acts as the face of Comfort Inn, providing outstanding service to our guests from the moment they step into the hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure a memorable experience, handling all guest services with a hospitable approach. The front desk agent plays a critical role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and addressing any guest concerns efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring compliance with all hotel policies and procedures.
- Verify guests' payment methods and process pre-authorizations and billing accurately.
- Answer telephones, manage reservations, and provide information about the hotel, its services, and the local area.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs and resolving any issues that arise.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure room availability and readiness.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Manage guest accounts and maintain precise records of all hotel services used during the stay.
- Uphold confidentiality and security standards, keeping guest information secure at all times.
- Ensure effective communication with other departments to provide a cohesive guest experience.
- Assist guests with luggage storage, transportation arrangements, or any other personal assistance needed.
- Stay informed about the local area, including dining, entertainment, and attractions to make tailored recommendations.
- Participate in training and development sessions to improve skills and enhance service quality.
- Monitor and maintain the lobby area and front desk technology to ensure functionality and presentation.
- Strong understanding of customer service practices and customer psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Proficient in handling office equipment, including computers, phone systems, and reservation management systems.
- Ability to stand for long periods and manage occasional physical demands such as lifting luggage.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a bonus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle crises and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
