Essential Duties
- Prepare banquet rooms per the Banquet event order, stock and set up for service; perform shift opening tasks that may include: setting tables, opening doors, set up service station
- Responsible for serving tables and maintaining buffets by restocking as needed
- Must be a team player by assisting in daily operations of serving, cleaning, bussing
- Ensure that we adhere to State Liquor Regulations, TIPS certified, etc. and determine when customers should not be served alcohol
- Alert manager to any inventory shortages of liquor, food and supplies based on anticipated or actual guest volume
- Bus tables and reset throughout shift, as necessary
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Prior banquet experience and knowledge of banquets preferred
- Prior serving experience required
- 2 years of previous work history/education required
- Serve with customers courteously and efficiently
- Must have Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or must attend a Colorado approved alcohol server training educational seminar within 30 days of employment
- Must have current Food Handler and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Handler and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment
- Must have good communication skills and public relations
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
- Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $11.79 - $12.79 per hour
Physical Requirements
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push carts loaded with up to 200 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time
