Responsibilities
Provide essential care for elderly patients and individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and daily tasks.
Deliver fundamental health care services, such as monitoring vital signs and administering medication reminders to clients.
Aid in household mobility, accompanying individuals to medical appointments, and walking inside or outside the home.
Assist in meal planning and preparation for clients.
Support clients in a range of motion and physical therapy exercises.
Accompany clients on errands, including grocery shopping, medication pickups, and doctor appointments, providing transportation as necessary.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as changing bed linens, doing laundry, and taking out the trash.
Monitor and promptly respond to any unusual incidents or emergencies.
Gather information on conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members.
Maintain current knowledge of home health aide training, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Enjoy working one-on-one, eager to improve, and continuously learn new skills.
Previous experience as a home health aide, in-home caregiver, CNA, or another medical professional in the healthcare field (Min of 1-2 yrs)
Ability to pass a SLED background check with no prior Felonies within 10 years
Pass a Drug Screen
Have or be willing to have a TB test or chest x-ray, a driver’s license, and own reliable transportation every single day
Ability to think and work both independently and with direction
Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
Take pride in providing high-quality care
Hoyer Lift Experience, Feeding Tube, Colostomy/Catheter Care, Bowel Program (not required, specific to Client)
