JOB SUMMARY: To support the medical records department through a variety of clerical, technical and related support services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews each request for information/copies of medical records to assure that the patient and/or guardian signed the authorization for release of information and that the authorization is completed in accordance with Federal and State laws, and hospital policy.
Copies the requested records and assures that the copies are legible.
Processes all discharges within hours of discharge.
