Job Title A line cook is a kitchen staff member primarily responsible for preparing, chopping, mixing, and cooking food items according to recipes at a designated station on the kitchen line, ensuring dishes are cooked to the proper standards and plated efficiently, often under the supervision of a sous chef or head chef; their duties include maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety regulations at their station.
