Job Description / Responsibilities
As the Associate Designer – Retail, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in brand development, below-the-line marketing tools, team collaboration, project management, and creative exploration. This role is ideal for an ambitious designer eager to hone their craft and directly contribute to company growth. You’ll gain hands-on experience in Point-of-Sale (POS) and shelf design while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Communication: Design compelling, promotion-specific materials that reflect established brand positioning; develop and edit creative work to align with specifications from Art Directors and Marketing Managers; provide artwork and assets for promotional materials, POS, labels, premiums, and tasting kits.
Brand Asset Development: Assist in creating and implementing iconic and ownable assets across the brand portfolio; build brand toolkits to ensure consistency across all visual elements and touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Identify and involve cross-functional partners needed to support key projects and processes; develop and maintain design standards and creative assets for all brands and corporate entities.
External Design Management: Manage outsourced design projects as needed, ensuring high-quality output when internal capacity is limited.
Professional Development: Leverage the PDS system to identify areas for personal improvement and boost overall effectiveness in achieving goals.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in graphic arts or related field
Experience designing POS materials and print to establish brand positioning in retail settings
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
Detail oriented
Strong planning and organizational skills
Possess a well-rounded portfolio
Preferred
3+ years’ experience with design agency or similar role
Ability to quickly learn new systems / processes
Strong analytical and technical skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to identify and distinguish colors
A valid driver's license
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to read and write
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting
Clear vision at 20 inches or less
Strong communication skills
