Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated General Manager to lead our new healthcare laundry facility in St. Louis, MO. This pivotal role entails comprehensive oversight of the facility, necessitating outstanding leadership, business acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to steer the facility towards achieving and maintaining various industry accreditation requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategic plans to meet company objectives, aligning with overall business goals and market analysis. Drive revenue generation and cost control initiatives.
- Supervise all facets of facility operations, encompassing production, quality control, safety management, plant maintenance, logistics, and supply chain management. Streamline processes for optimal productivity and efficiency. Establish and uphold effective inventory management and capacity planning systems to enhance operational efficiency. Efficiently manage warehouse operations.
- Create and oversee the facility's budget, ensuring prudent spending and maximizing profitability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to enhance financial outcomes.
- Lead, inspire, and cultivate a high-performing team. Cultivate a positive work environment through effective team building, delegation, performance management, and employee relations. Manage talent acquisition and training/development initiatives. Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with all pertinent regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT FMCSA. Supervise compliance audits and risk management programs.
- Effectively identify and address operational challenges using troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and critical thinking skills. Communicate proficiently across all organizational levels, with suppliers, and with customers. Exhibit strong negotiation abilities.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by efficiently resolving complaints and fostering robust customer relationships.
**Position Requirements/Qualifications:**
- Bachelors degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration (with a focus on operations management), or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a General Manager or similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, operational efficiency, and team leadership.
