As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you are indeed a general—leading your team to provide America with a more delicious food service experience. You will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring food is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, and that customers have an excellent experience.

Essential General Manager Responsibilities

Manage, train, monitor, and coach crew/team members, carhops, and skating carhops.

Direct and assign employees to meet operational standards.

Ensure compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.

Perform restaurant opening and closing duties.

Prepare work schedules; adjust staffing as needed.

Monitor inventory levels and place orders within budget.

Maintain employment and payroll records.

Focus on customer service and resolve guest requests promptly.

Interview and hire staff to maintain proper staffing levels.

Develop operational reports and action plans for financial or sales issues.

Implement marketing strategies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.

At least 2 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.

Availability to work 5 days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of recruiting, labor laws, and sanitation standards.

Leadership, communication, basic accounting, and computer skills.

Ability to work independently, multi-task, and solve problems.

Willingness to adhere to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
