In this position, you will be responsible for various essential tasks such as merchandising, stocking products, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $20.50 Year 3 - $21.00 Year 4 - $21.00 Year 5 - $22.00 Key Responsibilities: Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role. Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately. Stock shelves and merchandise displays with attention to detail. Deliver outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers with their needs. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with management. Provide feedback to management regarding products, inventory levels, and any operational issues. Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy. Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses. Comply with all established company policies and procedures to maintain the security and confidentiality of data. Perform any other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Strong commitment to providing prompt and courteous customer service. Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately. Experienced in safely and effectively using equipment like electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Capable of performing cleaning duties in line with company standards. Able to interpret and apply company policies and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Meet any local and state requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail experience is a plus. A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
