As an Assistant Retail Manager, you'll play a crucial role in creating a team environment that fosters inclusivity and positive interactions. You will support the Store Manager in leading the team to achieve store goals, including sales and profit targets, recruitment, performance management, training, and development. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the store meets company objectives and KPI goals. Provide leadership to maintain operational excellence while balancing company policies, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling. Assist in recruiting, developing, and training top talent with a focus on sales, customer service, and fashion. Set the standard for The Torrid Connection, ensuring the team delivers a shopping experience that fosters customer loyalty and positive connections. Support the Store Manager in executing merchandise strategies while maintaining a clean, consistent, and inviting store atmosphere that inspires shopping. Maintain effective communication with the Store Manager and District Manager. What You’ll Bring: A minimum of six months of management experience in specialty or apparel retail, with a proven track record of leading teams to success and achieving sales performance. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing an exceptional customer experience. Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and challenges within the retail and fashion landscape. A passion for fashion and staying updated on current trends. Physical Requirements: Able to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs, pack and unpack shipments, and rearrange store fixtures. Able to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, and retrieval poles.
