Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working, and compassionate Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment that supports exceptional dining experiences for our residents. This position plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring that every meal is served with care, dignity, and respect for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen. Follow all food safety and sanitization guidelines to protect the health and wellness of our residents. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a timely manner. Restock clean items in their proper locations for use during meal service. Assist in the proper disposal of waste and recycling materials. Collaborate with dining team members to ensure an efficient meal service. Support the dining team with cleaning the dining area and other tasks as needed. Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with special events, holiday meals, and family gatherings as needed. Promptly report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate staff. Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience in dishwashing or food service preferred. Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting is a plus. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards residents and coworkers. Dependable and self-motivated. Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organizational skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a warm, humid kitchen environment. Ability to walk and stand for long periods. Ability to safety lift and carry up to 50 lbs., including hot and heavy dishware. Ability to navigate kitchen areas safely, which can include frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
