FSA Lead Barista (Starbucks)

This Lead Barista, Food Service Assistant will be responsible to: Lead and oversee the work of Food Service Assistant II Barista
Assign and monitor completion of routine tasks, providing instruction and guidance in performance of job duties
Train all new baristas on the barista basics program (about one month of training per new employee)
Manage rest breaks, inventory, tasks, temperature taking and record keeping
Manage the pull to thaw system for baked goods and sandwiches
Take care of voids, customer disputes and perform service recoveries
Train team on all new drinks as they are released each season
Ensure the store is stocked and ready for service during shift
Ensure Starbucks standards of quality are followed
Perform the monthly clean, safe and ready audit with manager on duty
Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
Maintain high levels of sanitation of all equipment by adhering to department policies and procedures, Health Dept. codes and J.C.A.H.O. regulations
Contribute to a positive working environment and promote teamwork by taking initiative to improve overall quality and exceed customer expectations. Maintain clear communication channels and constructive, sensitive relationships with co workers, supervisors, patients, customers, parents and all hospital staff
To qualify you must have: A high school diploma/GED and 12 months of previous experience is required
Starbucks Barista Trainer Certification required within 6 months of hire
ServSafe Certification; MA Allergen Training or AllerTrain Manager Certification is preferred
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
Customer service skills with ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel
Requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees
