Forklift Operator And Material Handler

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Material Handler for a position in New Stanton. The role involves operating a sit-down forklift and performing general warehouse duties. Work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 7am or 8am and concluding at 4pm, with opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety policies.
• Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift, and by hand as needed.
• Safely climb in and out of trailers.
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally).
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, such as pallets, straps, and rope.
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Engage in frequent contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Safely work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ensure prompt, daily attendance at assigned work location.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Dockworker experience is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
