JOB SUMMARY : This is hourly paid work performing and assisting with food service duties. Seeking a candidate with a passion for food services and motivation for advancement to fill a food service worker position. This position is part-time and requires less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. NOTE: This is a 29 hour per week position.
Under direct supervision learns to prepare, heat and finish cooking food items and serve customers. Learns how to receive and disburse money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
• Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
• Conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections
• Receives payment for food items
• Replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars
• Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
• Unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed.
