Job Title: Food Service Line Server-Food Prep

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Reports To: Food Service Supervisor

Work Location: School

Work Schedule: 180 days

Position Summary

Under general supervision, performs tasks in a supportive role associated with the efficient operation of the school cafeteria. Work is performed under the direction of Food Service Supervisor and Food Service Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Ensures the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are kept clean according to sanitation codes; follows a schedule for maintaining cleanliness. Assist in cooking and assembling food items, as needed. Participates in the clean-up procedures as required. Complete all training as assigned. Exercises good judgment and works effectively with all school personnel and students. Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures. Demonstrate high quality customer service. Performs other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Education/Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent, preferred or one year experience in food service Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices preferred. Ability to use food preparation and cleaning equipment. History of excellent work attendance. Perform duties in a professional and personable manner. Other/Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift objects of 20 pounds or more. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Applicants must be able to pass a Safe Hiring Solutions background check.
