Requirements
Job Title: Food & Beverage Director
Department: Food & Beverage
Status: FT Year Round Salary
Reporting To: VP of F&B
Key Responsibilities:
Hospitality: Embody hospitality, seeking out ways to create memorable and tailored experiences for all guests with an ability to read and guide guests with graciousness and foresight
Foster a welcoming, yet refined atmosphere that reflects the principles of the larger membership program
Develop and nurture community relationships in close collaboration with the Community team
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of on-site programming, amenities, and menus (including ingredients, origins, suppliers, seasonality, flavor and texture, allergy restrictions, and preparation methods)
Actively participate in service and engage with guests to gather and act upon feedback regarding the overall experience, product quality, and service levels
Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and guide the team through all aspects of the service cycle, ensuring seamlessness, preparedness, and presentation
Ensure that all members of the team are performing at the necessary level through education, clarity in communications, set expectations, and accountability providing feedback often.
Oversee daily operations of the private lodges, including marketing strategies, recruitment, hiring, team development, and coordination of events and programs.
Venue Management and Operations: Responsible for managing all public resort operations that are existing and future additions
POS systems, budgets, reservation system (if applicable) and reporting
Work closely with Community team and Culinary Team to maintain and update regular and special event information
Uphold all standards of the restaurant, service, appearance, and conduct
Implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity and cost efficiency
Manage and project venue equipment and supplies needs
Ensure compliance with health codes, sanitation requirements, and safety protocols
Requirements and/or Qualifications: 4+ years of management experience in the food and beverage industry
Demonstrate positive leadership skills and attention to detail, encouraging fellow team members to meet and exceed standards
Ability to be strategic, flexible, proactive, calm under pressure, and resourceful
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Strong decision-making abilities
Full budget control of public F&B outlets, including forecasting and P&L management.
Monitor labor both front and back of house
Work with VP and F&B financial analyst for reporting and other financials data sets
Social media management experience a plus
Team-oriented mindset
Unwavering attention to detail
Passion for food and hospitality and knowledge of trends
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
Ability to utilize and accurately input information into traditional software systems and any additional systems as needed
Physical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to: Full range of body movements
Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs)
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
Climb/descend stairs/ladders
Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
