Field Service Technician – Maine / 61426 Pay: $18.00–$21.00/hour Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Maine, ideally near Portland, to support independent grocery stores and gas stations across the state—with occasional travel into southern New Hampshire. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on maintaining and repairing POS (Point of Sale) hardware. No office time required—just solid technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to great customer service. What Youll Do: Travel to client sites to troubleshoot and repair POS systems Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to replace hardware components Maintain inventory in your company-provided vehicle Provide courteous, face-to-face service and build rapport with customers Conduct proactive visits when not assigned to service calls Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (about once a month), with premium pay for evenings/weekends Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM On-call rotation required (after hours and weekends) What We’re Looking For: Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using power tools Experience with basic computer repair or building PCs is a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Telecom, help desk, or field service experience preferred, but not required High school diploma or equivalent Self-motivated and seeking long-term employment Compensation & Benefits: $18–$21/hour based on experience Time and a half for on-call service Additional pay for late and weekend shifts Company vehicle and tools provided Benefits package may include PTO, 401(k), and more If youre a hands-on problem solver with strong customer skills, we want to hear from you.
