What You'll Do:
As a Field Service Technician – Power Systems Specialist, your day-to-day will include:
Performing on-site service and maintenance of UPS systems, power distribution units, switchgear, and related electrical equipment.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
Executing repairs and upgrades to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Interacting with customers to provide technical support, explain service procedures, and ensure satisfaction.
Documenting service activities through detailed reports, including diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations.
Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Following strict safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents to ensure a safe work environment.
Traveling to customer sites within your assigned region, maintaining a professional and responsive presence.
Staying up to date with training and certifications to keep your skills sharp and compliant with industry standards.
What You Bring:
Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training, or equivalent experience in electrical disciplines.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Strong understanding of AC/DC power principles and circuit components.
2+ years of field service repair and customer support experience with UPS systems, power distribution, switchgear, ATS, PDUs, and related electrical/electronic equipment.
2+ years in Field Services or similar industry experience.
Commitment to safety practices and compliance with company safety policies (e.g., lockout/tagout, safety programs, timely training completion).
Ability to identify workplace hazards and report incidents, near misses, or safety concerns.
NFPA-70E or OSHA experience (preferred).
Safe driving and vehicle operation skills.
Skilled in using test and diagnostic equipment.
Experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and manuals.
Ability to write service reports, procedures, and communicate effectively with customers.
Physically capable of performing demanding tasks (bending, lifting up to 40 lbs).
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust).
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in confined spaces.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 USD per year
