Job Summary:

The Field Service Specialist will report to the Director of Operations and is an expert in installing, maintaining and servicing the Company's devices. The role includes frequent traveling to customers' sites for installation, maintenance, upgrades, preventive maintenance and service as well as participating in tradeshows and system assembly at the company's production site.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient service to customers in regards to service requests/incident reports
  • Work with engineering on troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment
  • Keep up-to-date administrative responsibilities as it relates to service of the equipment and repair details with internal service report structure in a timely manner
  • Work with Supply Chain/IT on part needs and efficient manner of trunk stock
  • Responsible for aiding in the assembly and testing of new systems at company headquarters per quality procedures
  • Develop cross-functional relationships to successfully drive customer support
  • Responsible for maintaining the company storage, lab, and HQ floor per FDA regulations defined in the company quality system.
  • Maintain a superior knowledge of product line, product utilization, maintenance, and upgrades and able to assist in production of systems
  • Fixed asset management as it relates to logistics and documentation
  • Able to maintain a good cadence of customer site visits for system PMs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a field service technician
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in technical or electrical field, or equivalent certification
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing IT equipment
  • PC build, setup, networking, and configuration knowledge
  • Good understanding of IT knowledge as it relates to computer functionality, Window OS experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively utilize time management to meet customer expectations
  • Proficient troubleshooting/problem-solving experience
