Other Details: This Family Practice locum assignment is available for a board-certified provider who can start as soon as credentialed, ideally within four weeks. The contract is three months with a possibility to extend, and the schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. 5 p.m., 40 hours per week, with no call and a one-hour unpaid lunch. The outpatient community health center setting includes support staff such as medical assistants, receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, and access to pediatricians and healthcare administrators. Providers will see newborn to geriatric patients, averaging per day, and must be comfortable with high volume, fast-paced care, including chronic disease management, acute/walk-in visits, and vulnerable populations such as migrants and refugees. Special procedures include injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care. Candidates must have at least two years of experience, clean background, recent face-to-face patient contact including pediatrics within the past year, and be expected to start patient care by day three after a short orientation. An active state license, DEA, ACLS, and BLS are required. EMR used is Epic, and overtime is only approved if daily productivity expectations are exceeded.
