Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist with facility maintenance-related projects and tasks across multiple buildings. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, as well as managing outside vendors and responding to work orders using a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

Assist with facility maintenance projects and tasks.
Respond to work orders across all buildings.
Perform mechanical work such as painting, patching holes in drywall, hanging pictures, whiteboards, and TVs, changing filters, and assembling furniture.
Conduct electrical work including changing outlets, switches, and lights.
Handle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaking sinks or faucets.
Identify HVAC issues and alert the appropriate personnel.
Manage outside vendors and verify their work.
Log information and respond to work orders using an iPad or iPhone.

Essential Skills

1+ year of facility maintenance experience in multifamily, apartments, hotel, industrial, residential, or commercial settings.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to change light bulbs and perform basic plumbing tasks.
Experience with HVAC systems, specifically changing filters.
Competence in using computers, iPads, and iPhones to look up work orders.
Strong teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of facility maintenance experience in any environment.
Experience with CMMS and automated building controls.
Ability to oversee outside contractors or vendors.
Experience in patching drywall, painting, and hanging pictures or whiteboards.
Exposure to repair, preventive maintenance, and construction services.

Work Environment

The position involves working across five properties, including manufacturing, office space, and warehouse settings. The company is expanding with a new building to consolidate space and grow by 200k sq ft. There is an emphasis on building a construction-focused team to support the company's needs. The role offers flexible shift options, with 1st shift from 5am-1:30pm and 2nd shift from 10am-6:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
