A leading global consumer retail brand is seeking an experienced, visionary executive to lead the transformation and growth of its global retail operations. The Executive Vice President, Retail Experience & Operations will drive operational excellence, elevate the in-store experience, and lead strategic initiatives that define the future of how this iconic brand engages with customers worldwide.
This role will be based in Chicago and will partner closely with the senior leadership team to accelerate growth, modernize retail operations, and evolve the customer journey across thousands of stores.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Oversee all aspects of retail operations and field leadership across thousands of locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and profitability.
Experience Innovation: Champion the evolution of the in-store experience — from visual standards and service models to experiential activations that drive deeper brand engagement.
Operational Excellence: Lead modernization efforts across systems, processes, and technology to enable scale and optimize store performance.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with executive leadership across merchandising, finance, marketing, digital, and real estate to deliver an integrated retail strategy.
Cultural Leadership: Build, develop, and inspire a global field organization, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, and performance.
Financial Stewardship: Partner closely with finance and analytics teams to align operational execution with business objectives and profitability targets.
Transformation & Growth: Drive the strategic roadmap for store expansion, new formats, and retail transformation initiatives that position the brand for long-term success.
Customer-Centric Mindset: Embed the voice of the customer into every element of the retail experience, ensuring that each touchpoint reflects the brand’s values and purpose.
Ideal Profile
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit retail operations , ideally with lifestyle, fashion, specialty, or experience-driven brands.
Proven success leading large-scale retail transformations that deliver measurable growth and cultural impact.
Deep expertise in store operations, visual merchandising, and customer experience strategy .
Strong financial and strategic acumen — able to translate vision into actionable, profitable outcomes.
Experienced in leading large, distributed teams with a focus on empowerment, communication, and results.
Visionary, modern retail thinker with the ability to balance operational discipline with innovation and creativity.
