Overview

As an Assistant Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll work with our seasoned consultants to assist our manufacturing, energy, solid waste, and natural gas clients in navigating and complying with continually changing and challenging environmental regulations. You'll perform tasks such as environmental permitting (water, waste, hazardous materials), assist with compliance audits, develop environmental plans and manuals, and compliance reporting. You'll interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the entire project from conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review process, bidding, and implementation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

2-6 years' environmental compliance or related experience; B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related Earth Sciences; Experience supporting and/or independently completing projects from proposal to final report preparation, in coordination with internal team, clients, and regulatory agencies; Experience with preparing environmental plans (SPCC, PPC, SWPPP, FRP, etc.), annual EPCRA Tier II and TRI reporting, Chemical Data Reporting under TSCA, general and individual NPDES permitting for stormwater discharges, NPDES permitting for industrial discharges, and hazardous waste management. Ability to speak and write professionally; Solid organizational and time management skills; Experience collecting environmental samples (soil, groundwater, sediment, and air) for analytical testing, review laboratory analytical reports, and preparing field summary and/or data reports. Preferred E.I.T. or F.E certification, or P.E. licensure a plus; Knowledge of PA, OH, WV regulations, and Federal multi-media regulations; Experience with aboveground storage tank installation requirements and inspections a plus; Air permitting experience a plus; Business development and client interactions skills; and Experience working on a variety of industrial sites and working within strict client-mandated safety protocols.
