Job Description and Duties
State Fund is seeking bright, driven individuals to participate in the Emerging Leader Program. The program is designed to develop future leaders within the organization who support State Fund's purpose to serve California’s diverse businesses and workers by ensuring our workers' compensation system works today and in the future.
Program Components
- A two-year curriculum of industry-leading training that includes in-person and virtual workshops, mentoring and coaching, job shadowing, online eLearning modules, and hands-on experience working in a business simulation.
- A two-year work rotation that develops understanding and skills in core roles within the organization. Possible roles include Underwriting, Claims, or other areas.
Upon successful completion of the two-year rotation, candidates will be placed in a permanent work assignment based on business needs.
Travel to live workshops is required. Target onboarding date is August 2026.
Special Requirements
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and accrue PLP 2025 hours on the first day of each pay period in accordance with the applicable bargaining contract. Salary ranges listed do not reflect this reduction.
