KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an Electrical Design Engineer (CAD, Industrial Automation, Project Lead)
The Sr. Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and test electrical systems for specialized equipment in manufacturing, distribution, and automation environments. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with leadership skills to manage projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The engineer will participate in all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept and design to installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical systems and components using AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools) for: Control panels
Field wiring
Power distribution
Develop electrical schematics, technical drawings, and documentation that meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Perform research and analysis to develop solutions for complex electrical and automation challenges.
Oversee and lead projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to specification.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, EE team members, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
Support equipment installation and commissioning, including occasional on-site support and troubleshooting.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and compliance reviews.
Ensure quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance (NFPA, NEC, etc.).
Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities effectively.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team.
Job Requirements
Preferred Industry Experience Equipment Electrification and Automation Solutions

Automated guided vehicles (AGVs)
Warehouse optimization and material handling systems
Real-time supply chain solutions
E-commerce fulfillment automation
Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in industrial automation, equipment design, or heavy industry applications.
Strong AutoCAD experience for electrical schematics (other CAD tools acceptable).
Proven ability to interpret and create drawings, symbols, and technical documentation.
Experience managing project budgets and labor targets.
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor team members and influence cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and general computer literacy.
Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
Local candidates only - must work on-site most days due to collaboration and system access.
Less than 10% travel, with notice provided; occasional on-call availability during installations.
Work Environment & Schedule 40 hours/week, standard schedule (occasional overtime as needed).
Office-based role with collaboration across teams.
Home every night (no extensive travel).
On-call support during critical installation phases (rotational basis).
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly/Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $100-110K plus 10% bonus
