Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in a school setting located in Salem, VA. This role involves providing essential speech and language support to students across various grade levels, including Early Childhood, Pre-K, Elementary (Grades K5), Middle School (Grades 68), and High School (Grades 912). The ideal candidate will have experience working in diverse educational environments and be adept at designing and implementing individualized therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students across multiple grade levels.
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with children in Early Childhood through High School age ranges.
- Ability to provide therapy in both group and individual settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of educational policies and procedures related to special education.
