Job Summary:

Just 2 hours southeast of Walt Disney World Resort, this elegant old-fashioned hideaway is located on Florida’s scenic Atlantic Treasure Coast near the charming community of Vero Beach.

Dishwasher/Stewards are a key part of the kitchen and are responsible for working in kitchen areas using large dish machines, manually washing pots, pans, stocking clean dishes, glassware and silverware. Additional responsibilities include heavy lifting, working with chemicals, emptying trashcans and mopping. Stewards may work indoor or outdoors, however This role is primarily working in backstage kitchen areas.

Part-Time and Full Time opportunities may be available.

Dishwasher Stewards receive a starting rate of $21.00/hour

Responsibilities:

Operate large dish machines; loading and unloading dishware, glassware and silverware​ Scrape plates, utensils and other dishware used in restaurants prior to loading in dishwashing machines​ Manually scrubbing large pots and pans at a pot sink​ Sort pots, pans, dishes, glassware, flatware and utensils and restock into designated locations for restaurant use​ Monitor water cleanliness in the pot sink and in the dish machines​ Hand polish items such as silverware and flatware​ Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping and scrubbing kitchen floors, coolers and freezers and washing and replacing all trash cans​ Clean kitchen counters, walls, cooling, storage and trash areas​ Performs deep cleaning according to schedule or as needed​ Responsible for emptying trash and recyclables appropriately​ Follow proper sanitation and HACCP procedures​ Responsible for ensuring chemical storage areas are neat and orderly​ Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of back dock area which may include pressure washing​ Late shift focused on thorough deep cleaning of all kitchen areas Basic Qualifications:

You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.​ Able to do heavy lifting of pots/pans and trays, up to 50 lbs.​ Ability to push/pull heavy carts​ Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces​ Understanding principles of proper sanitation​ Has strong listening skills​ Self motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team​ FULL AVAILABILITY for any shift, a minimum of (3) three days per week, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Some knowledge/experience working with large kitchen equipment​ Previous restaurant experience; understanding of full service environment​ Previous experience working in a hospitality or tourism related role is preferred​ FULL AVAILABILITY for any shift, seven (7) days per week.​ Bilingual preferred

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
