Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center.RESPONSIBILITIES:Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workersSet up dish machineTransport food carts to and from resident unitsDeliver special request items to units as needed (i.e. missed trays, puree vs. regular tray, different food preparations)Break down dishes from food carts if assignedRinse, pre-wash, rack and send dishes through dish machine if assignedPull dishes in dish room and put dishes in designed areas if assignedTake out trashSweep and mop floors in kitchen and dish room areas and back door areaComplete daily cleaning assignments as assigned by supervisorAssist with tray line as needed or assignedAssist with serving food in dining room to residents as needed or assignedKeep up temperature record for dish machineKeep records updated on all kitchen cleaning bucketsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalentHave six months experience in dish room or sanitation work environmentAbility to read, write and effectively communicate in EnglishGenuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, and people with disabilities
