The Director of Retail Property Management will be instrumental in optimizing the performance of our expansive 500,000+ square foot retail portfolio. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and contributing to the overall value of the company's real estate assets. This role requires a proactive and collaborative leader who can navigate complex relationships, drive operational excellence, and contribute significantly to our continued success in the retail sector.

Direct Reports: None initially; expected to build and lead a team as the function grows
Travel: 30%
Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role's responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.
- Oversee all aspects of performance for Landmark's 500,000 square feet of retail property, ensuring optimal operation and value creation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail tenants, acting as a primary point of contact for inquiries, concerns, and strategic collaborations.
- Partner with local Community managers to support tenant engagement and retail marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Asset Management team to ensure a smooth transition of tenant relationships post-lease execution.
- Partner with property facilities teams to ensure timely inspections, preventative maintenance, and efficient resolution of issues within retail spaces.
- Guide and support retail tenants through the construction and fit-out process, ensuring smooth grand openings and optimal ongoing operations within our properties.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the retail portfolio, identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a future team of retail management specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including financial performance, tenant satisfaction, and operational metrics.
- Ensure lease compliance and support leasing and renewal processes in collaboration with legal and leasing teams.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in retail property management.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and build cross-functional relationships.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- In-depth knowledge of retail tenant needs, market trends, lease structures, and operational best practices within a retail environment.
