About the Position:

The Director of Educational Development works closely with the Home Office Educational Services team to support Empire Beauty School's vision for educational excellence. This role helps bring that vision to life through engaging training and development initiatives in both Education and Guest Services. The position focuses on developing, implementing, and continuously improving training curriculum for all programs while supporting key student outcomes such as retention, licensure, graduation, and placement.

In this role, you will lead training and development programs for our Educators to help drive strong results in attendance, licensure, graduation, and placement. You will develop and maintain the Educator Onboarding program and help coordinate training events such as Professional Development Day and Mentorship Moments, while creating engaging training materials that support educator success. You will also serve as the main point of contact for vendors, maintaining relationships, addressing concerns, evaluating performance, and identifying new partners based on educational needs.

Additional responsibilities include developing student contests, salon promotions, and educational initiatives that support student engagement, attendance, and retention, while partnering with the Marketing team to communicate these programs to staff and students. This role also collaborates across departments to support product knowledge training, manage promotional items, and help ensure the successful rollout of field-based education initiatives.

The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - 85,000.00 per year, depending on experience.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

A Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field. Appropriate work experience or a combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Cosmetology Operator and/or Teacher license required. Minimum of five years of salon or school management experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment. Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and computer skills required.
