DIETARY AIDE(S) – Full-Time Days at Decatur Manor in Decatur, IL - Hours: 8 OR 12 hours

Decatur Manor has an immediate opening for experienced Dietary Aides at our Decatur Manor facility in Decatur, Illinois. We are seeking Dietary Aides experienced in buffet-style prep. Must work every other weekend both days. This position could be full time if open to working both the morning and second shift, or two part-time aids, one to cover mornings and one to cover evenings.

$15 per hour!

Responsibilities of the Cook:

• Prepare food in a timely manner in accordance with dietary requirements
• Follow standardized recipes in food preparation
• Inspect special dietary trays before service to ensure they are correct
• May serve food on the food tray line
• Supervise and/or assist in receiving and check in of deliveries of food and supplies
• Follow work/cleaning schedules
• Maintain clean, organized and safe kitchen

Requirements:

• Must have Serve Safe Certification
• Must be able to interpret Resident Diet Cards
• Must be capable of following written and oral instructions concerning specific methods of the preparation of foods and beverages
• Must be familiar with seasonings, understand cooking times and follow sanitation requirements
• Must be willing to undergo a background check, including fingerprinting if needed per IDPH regulations
• Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of people recovering from mental health and behavioral issues
