Position Purpose: Your safety and that of your teammates is our top priority! As a Diesel Technician - Class B, you will play an essential role in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling our fleet of diesel-operated vehicles, ensuring adherence to compliance and safety standards. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units with minimal supervision. Perform thorough inspections to identify root causes of mechanical issues and execute necessary repairs. Ensure all equipment is properly licensed and registered to be roadworthy. Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately in our online Enterprise Asset Management system. Install, replace, and repair onboard computers as needed. Inspect critical components such as brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms, ensuring their safety and functionality. Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication using hand and power tools. Mentor and train other mechanics as required. Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the team. Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. 3 - 5 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire & wheel work, air & air disc brake systems, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration experience.
