4M Dental Implant Center in Newport Beach is seeking a reliable, patient-focused Dental Assistant / Backup Treatment Coordinator to join our premier dental implant team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in both clinical and administrative settings. You'll provide critical chairside support during procedures and assist in treatment coordination to ensure patients receive a seamless and supportive experience from consultation through care.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including implant surgeries.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Take high-quality dental radiographs (x-rays), intraoral photos, and digital scans (as applicable).
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory areas according to OSHA and infection control standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and charting within the dental software system.
Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions.
Perform lab tasks as assigned (e.g., pouring impressions, sending out cases).
Follow all clinical protocols, safety regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.
Backup Treatment Coordinator Duties:
Present treatment plans to patients in a clear, compassionate, and confident manner.
Help patients understand the clinical and financial aspects of proposed treatment.
Assist with scheduling, follow-ups, and financial arrangements when the primary TC is unavailable.
Collaborate closely with the front and back office teams to maintain a smooth workflow and a high level of customer service.
Requirements: Qualifications
Current Dental Assistant certification in the state of California.
X-ray certification required.
Minimum 2-3 years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred; implant or surgical experience is a plus.
Treatment coordination or front desk experience.
CPR/BLS certification (must be current).
Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Care Stack).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume practice.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
