The Dental Assistant plays a key role in supporting the clinical team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the operatory. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a warm, professional demeanor to help create a positive experience for our patients. This position will work at our Newport Beach and Anaheim Hills practices
Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including implant surgeries. Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures. Take high-quality dental radiographs (x-rays), intraoral photos, and digital scans (as applicable). Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory areas according to OSHA and infection control standards. Maintain accurate patient records and charting within the dental software system. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions. Perform lab tasks as assigned (e.g., pouring impressions, sending out cases). Follow all clinical protocols, safety regulations, and HIPAA guidelines. Requirements: Qualifications Current Dental Assistant certification in the state of California. X-ray certification required. Minimum 1-2 years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred; implant or surgical experience is a plus. CPR/BLS certification (must be current). Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Care Stack). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume practice. Positive, team-oriented attitude.
