JOB SUMMARY
The delivery driver is responsible for picking, pulling and packing all orders for customer delivery daily. Delivery area is within the Anchorage bowl area as well as JBER. Additionally, members will perform basic stocking, back stocking, and cleaning functions in the retail store and Warehouse. , aid customers in finding products, and carry out orders to customer vehicles. Store Warehouse Team Members must also remain very knowledgeable about products: gardening, pet and animal products to make recommendations. Customers rely on retail associates to provide accurate information to ensure they are purchasing the correct product.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Clean driving record with a valid driving license for no less than 5 years.
- Must have REAL ID to perform delivery on JBER.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIIES
- Successfully pass initial & random drug screens, as well as Fit For Duty exam.
- Delivery on JBER is required, candidates & employees must have and maintain a clean background and driving record.
- Achieve passing score on Defensive Driving courses.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize work. Good aptitude in working with numbers is helpful.
- Good customer service skills are essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a professional, clean appearance, including wearing Company logo apparel.
- Pick, pull, and pack all orders accurately for on-time home delivery
- Provide customer service to build long-term relationships with customers
- Serve as a Mill Brand Ambassador as you meet customers during your deliveries
- Maintain the store delivery vehicle through adherence to safety checklists, ensuring cleanliness, and put in maintenance requests as needed to our maintenance team.
- Assist customers with merchandise and load outs.
- Work safely and efficiently to provide excellent customer service.
- Pull and load store and E-commerce orders for customers.
- Order warehouse inventory as needed, help unpack and stock when not doing deliveries.
- Organize and rotate stock. Assist with inventory procedures, including receiving and cycle counts.
- Keep store equipment and supplies organized and maintained consistently with safety and cleanliness requirements.
- Learn and maintain product knowledge.
- Clean and maintain fixtures, displays, shelves and aisles.
- Repackage and label product as needed.
- Operate forklift when required (in-house certification required). Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift repetitiously 50-70 lbs. safely, may occasionally lift 80 lbs.
- Requires the ability to climb stairs frequently and ladders several times daily as needed.
- Must be able to safely use hands and arms in reaching and moving materials and products.
- Requires frequent lifting, bending, standing, and extended periods of walking on hard surfaces.
- Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments during inclement weather.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Work closely with warehouse and store personnel. Position requires frequent customer interaction. Must maintain a positive, professional and safe attitude always. Subject to initial and random drug screenings.
