Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and caring Cook to join our daycare team. The ideal candidate will enjoy preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals and snacks that meet state childcare nutritional guidelines
• Follow allergy restrictions and dietary needs for individual children
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and food storage area
• Keep accurate records of menus, food inventory, and meal counts
• Order and organize food supplies as needed
• Support the overall daycare team by ensuring mealtimes are positive and smooth for children
• Assist in classrooms during staff lunch breaks or as needed.
• Support special events or celebrations with food preparation and service.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience cooking in a childcare, school, or food service setting preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (Food Handlers Certificate is required)
• Ability to follow dietary restrictions and prepare child-friendly meals
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
