Job Title: Customer Service Representative Location: Chicago, IL (relocating to Itasca, IL in 2026 – candidates must be comfortable with both locations) Industry: Logistics / Transportation Compensation: $20 – 21/hour contract Work Schedule: Second Shift, Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM (1-hour lunch). Hybrid schedule with mandatory in-office days on Monday and Wednesday, plus one additional day onsite. Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description: The Customer Service Representative will support the brokerage operations team by managing a shared inbox, handling customer and carrier communications, and ensuring shipments run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, quick with technology, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to inquiries from carriers and customers via a shared inbox. Verify shipment details such as driver arrivals, pickups, deliveries, and delays. Provide clear, professional communication to resolve customer concerns. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members as needed. Maintain accurate records of communications and confirmations. Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and support overall operations. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Strong typing skills with accuracy and speed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email communication tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Basic understanding of U.S. geography preferred. Previous logistics experience not required—ideal for candidates from customer service, retail, or hospitality backgrounds who want to grow into a logistics career.
