Summary As a Weatherby CSR, you'll play a critical role in building customer relationships and driving sales growth in our retail shop. You'll provide excellent service, help customers navigate product choices, process orders, and manage account details-all while bringing ideas to improve displays and interactions in our retail space. This role blends customer service, sales, and merchandising, with opportunities to represent the Weatherby brand with energy and hospitality.

What You'll Do Customer Experience & Service
Create a welcoming environment and deliver exceptional customer service in person, online, and by phone.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a positive experience that drives repeat business and makes them a customer for life.
Assist customers in locating merchandise, answering product questions, and providing product quotes and order details.
Pursue and develop new customer accounts while maintaining existing relationships.
Order Processing & Retail Operations
Accurately process customer orders, applications, payments, and account updates.
Edit and verify orders for pricing, accuracy, and product details.
Provide customers with information on pricing, shipping, delivery timelines, and delays.
Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
Collaborate with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, and carriers to resolve order or delivery issues.
Generate ideas for sales displays, retail interactions, and merchandising plans.
Organize, set up, maintain, and replenish merchandise within the retail store.
Firearms Compliance & Safety
Process firearm sales, ensuring all paperwork and background checks are completed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Work with compliance team to track serialized inventory.
Maintain knowledge of ATF Federal and State regulations.
Promote and maintain a safe environment while working with firearms in all customer and staff interactions.
Other Responsibilities
Demonstrate ownership, professionalism, and passion for the brand.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience and knowledge of firearms required.
Customer service or firearms-related industry experience preferred.
Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing interactions.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety and operational guidelines.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including math proficiency (rates, ratios, percentages, graphs).
Customer focus and relationship-building ability.
Effective time management and teamwork orientation.
Computer proficiency, especially in Excel.
Technical capacity to understand and explain products.
Accountabilities and Measures Meet objective goals as assigned by the Customer Service Manager during performance coaching.
Physical Requirements
Primarily a sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 42 pounds; carry up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
Office/clerical environment with standard office equipment.
Occasional exposure to manufacturing/factory settings with fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and moderate to loud noise levels.
