CSS Manager 1, Sterile Supply - 2nd Shift Weekend The Supervisor, Central Sterile Supply will supervise departmental operations, departmental staff, instrument processing, case carts, preference card processes, decontamination, sterilization, case cart processing, disposable supply inventory for case carts and selected reusable equipment. Equipment processed includes surgical instrumentation, utensils and other sterile products for patient care areas. Case cart production and maintenance is coordinated with Operating Room and obstetrical personnel for Labor and Delivery, UH, James, and Ross Operating Rooms. Position Summary: The Supervisor, Central Sterile Supply is also responsible for ensuring that sterile procedure trays, instruments, supplies and equipment are available for distribution to patient care areas. The Supervisor, Central Sterile Supply monitors compliance with sterilization policies and procedures and record keeping. Minimum Education Required 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications Associates degree in health care or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Previous experience in instrument processing or surgical technology, and sterilization experience required, preferably in Perioperative services. Certification required (or to be obtained within 6 months of employment) Location: Central Sterile Supply (1029) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: Weekend Shift Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
