Brodie’s in Peabody is looking for cooks to round out their kitchen team. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES Recipe Following: Preparing food according to established recipes and instructions.
Dish Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of dishes like soups, salads, and entrees.
Sanitation: Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Food Safety: Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory, including stocking and ordering supplies.
Communication: Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Physical Demands: Being able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Prior experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen is helpful.
Knife Skills: Strong knife skills are essential for efficient and safe food preparation.
Knowledge: Understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety is necessary.
Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and follow instructions.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Chopping vegetables, slicing meats, preparing sauces, and measuring ingredients according to recipes.
Cooking: Preparing menu items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods, ensuring food is cooked to the correct temperature and consistency.
Plating: Presenting dishes in an appealing way that meets the restaurant’s standards.
Station Maintenance: Keeping the cooking station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout the shift.
Food Safety: Following proper food handling and sanitation procedures to prevent foodborne illnesses.
Inventory Management: Tracking inventory levels, reporting shortages, and potentially assisting with stocking supplies.
Communication: Communicating effectively with other kitchen staff, particularly during busy service periods.
Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently using kitchen equipment like ovens, grills, and fryers.
Cleaning: Maintaining the cleanliness of the cooking station and kitchen equipment, including washing dishes and utensils.
