REPORTS TO:General Manager.DRESS CODE:Uniform providedPHYSICAL:Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds.NARRATIVE:A banquet cook will handle food preparation for large groups of people. Hours vary based on events. There is NO restaurant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation and execution of food items required for all events, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Perform cooking, carving, and/or buffet stations as required
  • Operates food production equipment according to manufacturers' instructions
  • Carefully follows standard recipes while preparing all items
  • Plates food items for service (with assistance from banquet staff)
  • Maintains the inventory of food and supplies
  • Makes sure all items are wrapped, dated, labeled, and stored properly
  • Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices.
  • Keeps all areas of the kitchen clean and organized
  • Attends staff meetings
  • Sets up plating line for banquet
