*About you:*
As a *Commercial Electrical Assistant Project Manager (APM)* you will support the successful planning and execution of electrical infrastructure projects across a designated area. You'll work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to assist in project coordination, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and internal management communication. You will help ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
*Project Support & Coordination* * Assist in coordinating day-to-day project activities across construction, procurement, and safety teams. * Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and documentation. * Track project milestones and deliverables; help ensure timely execution and follow-up on tasks. * Prepare project status reports, meeting notes, and action item lists. * Participate in project meetings and assist with presenting updates to internal management. * Help manage client communications and support issue resolution.
*Cost Tracking & Documentation* * Monitor project expenses and track cost of projects * Assist in preparing bid packages, scopes of work, and contract documentation. * Help evaluate change orders, budget adjustments, and risk factors.
*Estimating & Pre-Construction* * Assist in preparing project cost estimates, takeoffs, and preliminary budgets for proposals and active bids. * Support the review of drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify required materials, labor, and equipment. * Collaborate with the estimating team and vendors/subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotes. * Help evaluate bids and ensure completeness and accuracy of estimating documentation.
*Compliance & Safety* * Promote adherence to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements. * Support safety teams with documentation, reporting, and site compliance reviews. * Help coordinate site visits, inspections, and safety meetings.
*Team Collaboration* * Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other project staff. * Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams as needed. * Learn and contribute to project management best practices and continuous improvement efforts. * Other duties as assigned.
*Skills and Requirements:*
*Required:* * Basic understanding of electrical infrastructure (e.g., substations, distribution lines, facility electrification). * Strong organizational and communication skills.
*Preferred:* * Progress toward PMP or similar project management certification. * Familiarity with utility operations, permitting, or energy infrastructure processes. * Experience with software such as Procore, Google Work space, Excel.
*Education and/or Experience:*
*Required:* * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. * 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction or utility project coordination.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
