Cold Room Lead

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Cold Room Lead located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Lead role involves being responsible for providing leadership and direction to groups of employees.

What a typical day looks like:

• Coordinate people resource requirements for the department.
• Communicate priority tasks to team daily and lead efforts towards production goals.
• Help alert other departments about planned and unplanned downtime.
• Avoid downtime due to material shortages by ensuring that lines are supplied with sufficient materials.
• Update "pass down" and "down time" communication reports to ensure communication flow with opposite shift.
• Follow quality indicators and help alert others if predefined indicators fall below the target.
• Organize employees' at assigned workstations and rearrange assignments when necessary.
• Identify cause of mass failures and make the necessary adjustments to overcome errors.
• Motivate and mentor individual employees and small groups of employees.
• Monitor employees' performance and communicate to trainers what additional training is needed.
• Have the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform all job requirements in area of responsibility.
• Be a leader in promoting compliance with 5S+1 and quality assurance practices.
• Be supervisors first point of contact and be able to fill in for supervisor when necessary.
• Ensure that accepted reasonable accommodations are met for employees in area of responsibility.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Is proficient in all Flex technologies and manufacturing techniques.
• Demonstrates a high level of competency and functional/process knowledge while leading manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrates broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and may improve processes by applying new techniques.
• Be able to conduct on the job training and lead employees.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees.
