This position primarily works with serving court paperwork on behalf of the courts system for a variety of case types. This position works mostly outside, serving paperwork to required recipients in the assigned specific geographical area. Preparation and Recordkeeping Receive and sort sets of paperwork based on location, timeframe available, and delivery requirements
Enter preliminary information into assigned software, and double check personal information of recipients are up to date, including full legal name, address, and other pertinent information
Plan service route for daily pickups
Send back filled out copies of paperwork after it has been served, and document all information electronically
If the original service request came from out of the county, scan paperwork into the records management system
Schedule oil changes and other maintenance needs for assigned county vehicle Field Service Drive to each location, and attempt to serve paperwork
If called for emergency paperwork pickup by the DA, pickup and serve Child In Need of Care paperwork in the same business day as the notification
Document service attempts on server copy with information including method of delivery (tacked to residence, successful in-person serve, or non-successful in-person serve Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in an administrative or mailroom setting. One year of experience with Microsoft Suite. If selected, candidates will be required to pass pre-employment testing of 80% reading comprehension to be completed after interview. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver’s license without restrictions, and current proof of automobile insurance. Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience related to administrative work in the judicial field.
