Civil Litigation Associate
Our client, a national, mid-sized civil litigation defense firm, is looking for a Litigation Associate to join its Governmental Entity Team/ Police Team. This specialized team is recognized for representing public entities in various cases, including claims involving dangerous conditions, educational law, and matters involving law enforcement officer liability.
Location: Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, or San Diego. Remote is an option, but must be barred in California
The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of civil litigation experience and must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, businesses, and legal teams. Candidates who are eager to learn, are highly self-motivated, and are interested in long-term professional growth would be a perfect match for this position.
The salary range is $125,000 - $175,000, plus bonus, and a generous benefits package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors.
Requirements 2 years of civil litigation experience Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing. Prior Law Enforcement and/or Military experience is a plus, but not necessary. Criminal defense experience is welcome, but not necessary. Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written. Excellent time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines.
