Wilco's culture is rooted in a family-oriented environment that values trust, autonomy, and collaboration Position Objective: Wilco Contracting is seeking a skilled and autonomous Civil Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive experience in civil construction estimating for commercial and industrial site work. This person will manage the entire estimating process, from initial concept to final bid, and will be crucial in professionalizing our internal systems. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is not only a skilled estimator but also a cultural fit excited to help shape the company's future. Key Responsibilities: Manage the creation and timely submission of accurate bids. Conduct cost and production analysis, including reviewing quantity takeoffs and contacting vendors and owners to generate final quotes. Utilize software such as HCSS estimating software, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel), and AGTEK for 3D modeling and material takeoffs. Perform timely and accurate quantity measurements from plans and CAD files. Organize takeoff data into spreadsheets for review. Effectively manage deadlines and resolve discrepancies in plans from various sources. Skills & Experience Needed: 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil estimating or a related field. High proficiency in industry-specific software like bidding software and AGTEK. A demonstrated sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines consistently. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
