As our business continues to grow across both residential and commercial markets, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership and support scalable growth. Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations of Beacon Mechanical Service, LLC and serve as a key strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership. This role is responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and performance analysis across a project- and service-based business. The CFO will focus on improving margins, cash flow, job costing accuracy, and financial visibility while ensuring strong controls and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning Oversee preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and regulatory standards Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and credit facilities Analyze job costing, labor efficiency, overhead, and margins across residential and commercial work Partner with operations to improve pricing, profitability, and cost controls Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and scalable systems Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making Lead and develop the accounting and finance function; manage external accountants, auditors, and advisors Support growth initiatives including new services, capital investments, and system implementations Qualifications Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, VP of Finance, or Senior Controller) Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and operational financial analysis Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls Experience in mechanical contracting, construction, trades, or service-based businesses strongly preferred Hands-on leadership style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights Excellent communication and collaboration skills Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
