divh2Chief Financial Officer/h2pThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for directing the financial functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with EMCORs accounting policies, procedures and practices. The CFO is also accountable for the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Company assets and report accurate financial results./ppCompensation Range: $235,000 - $250,000/ppThis position is bonus eligible./ph2Essential Duties Responsibilities/h2pPossess and perform with an executive level knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, and operational functions of the organization, and support the CEO and executive management team in achieving the organizations vision, goals, and objectives./ppServe as a strategic partner to the J.C. Higgins CEO President, operating independently, effectively, and within the timelines of agreed upon initiatives./ppLead the accounting department in developing the processes/procedures necessary to ensure regulatory compliance, proper records maintenance, and adequate accounting controls in support of Company operations./ppPrepare for and participate in monthly project reviews with CEO, executive staff, and project managers to evaluate job performance, assess risks and develop action plans./ppSupport operations in managing cash flow on projects, including developing and implementing a credit and collections policy and change order management./ppFunction as an advisor to the CEO on financial aspects of various contracts./ppCollaborate with peers and employees to leverage shared knowledge among departments and sister companies./ppMotivate and advance the accounting and finance department to ensure alignment with the Companys operational vision and able to empower direct reports to perform at even higher levels. Instill an attitude of service in the finance organization./ppPractice and promote EMCOR and J.C. Higgins Code of Ethics, Leading with Character in conducting business both internally and externally./ppOversight and additional Human Resources responsibilities./ppSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/ppThe CFO is responsible for managing, directing, and leading the accounting and finance department, which includes Payroll, Human Resources and IT./ph2Qualifications/h2pTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions./ppEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/ppMBA in accounting/finance, or related academic discipline is strongly preferred, and 10-15 years professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance; or/ppBachelors degree required in accounting/finance, or related academic discipline, and 15-20 years professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance./ppCPA accreditation preferred./ppHuman Resources experience / responsibilities preferred/ppQualified candidate will possess industry and/or local market experience./ppStrong working knowledge of FASB, SOX, IRS, DBA, Federal and State regulations as they apply to the essential functions of this position./ppFamiliarity with construction contract language, including previous experience with Federal contracts, terms and construction accounting./ppCOMPUTER SKILLS/ppAdvanced computer/technical skills with various accounting applications (life cycle of the accounting and finance departments). Microsoft Office expertise, including advanced Excel skills; experience with Viewpoint a plus.
