Position Overview

Assist surgeons intraoperatively as a first assist across a variety of surgical specialties. Provide direct patient care including preoperative skin preparation, draping, retraction, hemostasis, and wound closure under surgeon supervision. Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure sterile field integrity and surgical flow. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. Support patient positioning and safety measures throughout the procedure. Document relevant surgical activities in the patient medical record.
