Peri-Anesthesia Assistant Wage Range: $24.91 - $39.85 per hour Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity. Responsible for assisting the Admissions RN in various duties to ensure smooth patient flow in the peri-anesthesia areas. Performs tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, treatment, transportation, and various clerical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. No major holidays, no weekends. Day shift with rotating start times. Primary Duties Performs patient care procedures in compliance with Evergreen Surgical Center policies, protocols and procedures. Assists with the maintenance, admission, discharge, and/or transfer of patients. Communicates with families or escorts in the waiting room on the progress of patient's recovery. Prepares paperwork and provides other clerical support. Performs other duties as assigned. License, Certification, Education or Experience: Required for the position: High school diploma or equivalent Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire Must have oral and written language skills, visual and listening skills in order to communicate and ensure delivery of safe patient care Must have necessary knowledge and training to care for the specific age group under his or her care Must be able to perform tasks that include age specific growth and development needs Must have the ability to be self-directed within his/her scope of practice Must be able to lift, turn, transfer, and position patients and move/lift heavy equipment/supplies Current EKG Certification or training within 6 months of hire date Desired for the position: 6 months of previous experience in Surgical Services Benefit Information: Choices that care for you and your family At EvergreenHealth, we appreciate our employees' commitment and contribution to our success.
